ROWDY RATHORE {2012}

'Rowdy Rathore' akan menjadi comeback Akshay Kumar dalam film laga dan dia merasa bahwa mungkin itu adalah kesempatan yang tepat.

"Aku rasa itu comeback yang tepat. Apa yang lebih baik selain menjadi bagian dalam film laga yang bagus, tapi itu bukan menyutradarai 'Rowdy Rathore'. Prabhu sering mengarahkan film laga. Pikirannya penuh dengan laga dan dia juga koreografer laga," kata Akshay, mengenai sutradara filmnya Prabhu Deva.

Baik Akshay Kumar dan rekan bintangnya Sonakshi Sinha mengatakan bahwa mereka akan sangat menyukai untuk mengendarai bajaj di jalan-jalan Mumbai.

Pada acara promosi, bintang-bintang film tersebut dipaksa untuk melakukan adegan kebut-kebutan dengan bajaj yang diselenggarakan oleh tim.

"Aku diminta untuk berdiri di atas jip. Apa pun yang diperintahkan kepadaku akan aku lakukan. Ketika aku sedang duduk di jip aku mengatakan berulang kali bahwa berikan aku juga bajaj otomatis untuk aku kendarai," katanya.

    First look: Department

songs, four musicians and three lyricists have come together to create the soundtrack of Department, RGV's much-awaited thriller that boasts of powerful music. The music scores big in the dance department with its groovy numbers that makes you sway.

First up on the playlist is Dan, dan cheeni shoot mix, a re-mixed Hindi version of the Tamil song Aasai Nooru, crooned by Paroma, Ravi and Sandeep Patil. It sets the ball rolling for the album. Composed by Dharam-Sandeep and penned by Vayu, the track is an out-and-out masala number song with whistle souds and an amazing chorus.

The highlight, however, is Indian-German Nathalia Kaur, the Brazilian girl of Indian descent who has stolen hearts with her raunchy moves and made this song an instant chartbuster. Move over Munni and Sheila because Cheeni is here to take your place and stay with desi jalwa and desi style.

Kammo, composed by Bappi Lahiri's son Bappa, is the next song. If Mika's Punjabi touch makes it a must hear, the show stealer is Sudesh Bhosle who comes as a welcome surprise in the song. The composer lives up to his father's image to an extent with the song.

Next is the theme song of Department titled Ek Do Teen Chaar which is by far one of the finest experimental tracks Bollywood has produced in recent times. It takes off as a grunge rock number with powerful beats and drums but midway completely moulds itself and you are greeted with heavy dubstep that just bowls you over. Sandeep backs the music wiht his vocal and Kudos to the composer duo Dharam-Sandeep for creating the amazing track. It is simply kickass.

Bad Boys has good electronic beats and would have been a catchy number if not for the dry lyrics and under-utilization Ritu Pathak's vocals. Her youthful tone could have carried the whole song on its shoulder, but it is totally wasted. Earl's vocal is the sole satisfactory element in the track, which is otherwise a disappointment.

Last but not the least is Mumbai Police, a rap number that has our own Sanju Baba with his tapori style saying the dialogues and Farhad Bhiwandiwala backing it up with his voice. Bappa does a good job again with the composition and Shabbir Ahmed's lyrics do the trick.

The final verdict is that Department is not for the faint-hearted who expect light romantic songs. The album is full of vigor, but somehow it fails to satiate your musical appetite and leaves you craving for more. Still likeable!

ISHAQZAADE {2012}

It's fresh, it's catchy and really high on energy. Ishaqzaade's latest song Chokra Jawan Re is a must-watch simply because you can't keep your fingers from tapping to its beats.

The song features the film's lead actor Arjun Kapoor and VJ model Gauhar Khan and sees the duo gyrating to pacy

beats. The Kapoor boy is seen mastering some rather tough moves with his rather fluid body while item girl Gauhar does her part as 'Chand Baby' with the teekha expressions and desi jhatkas.


Verdict: On the whole, a very fun and frolicking number.

The song has been sung by Vishal Dadlani and Sunidhi Chauhan. The film's music has been provided by Aisha's music composer Amit Trivedi and the lyrics have been written by Kausar Munir.

Ishaqzaade, which marks the debut of filmmaker Boney Kapoor's son Arjun opposite actor Priyanka Chopra's cousin Parineeti, has already generated a great deal of buzz on Twitter.

It narrates the story of two people, "born to hate, but destined to love", and follows how their "turbulent journey unfolds in the often unrealistic and daunting political confines of rural India", a statement from YRF said.

The film has been written and directed by Habib Faisal of Do Dooni Chaar fame, who has also written films like Band Baaja Baaraat.

The release date of Ishaqzaade, starring Parineeti Chopra and newcomer Arjun Kapoor, has been advanced from May 18 to May 11, resulting in a clash with Dangerous Ishq.

Muskaan (Jannat Zubair Rahmani), gadis kecil yang sering melihat hantu setelah kematian ayahnya. Keluarga Muskaan serba salah untuk menghadapi anak gadisnya itu. Beberapa orang mengatakan Muskaan mengalami depresi sejak kematian ayahnya, tetapi sebagian orang lainnya mengatakan Muskaan terkena roh jahat.

Ayah Muskaan, Ramsharan (Karan Razdan) dibunuh oleh sekelompok pemberontak ketika menarik perahu di laut. Sekelompok pemberontak itu menamakan dirinya Mujahidin yang dipimpin oleh Azaan Khan (Atul Kulkarni). Kesadisan Azaan sudah tersebar di seluruh pelosok desa, sehingga kematian Ramsharan tidak pernah diungkit kembali.

Karena itulah Muskaan menjadi depresi dan sering melihat roh. Hal yang menakutkan bagi ibu Muskaan, Meghna (Rituparna Sengupta) tidak yakin bahwa itu adalah roh suaminya. Devsharan (Satish Kaushik) dan Dulariben (Ila Arun, orang tua Ramsaharan menyarankan memanggil seorang paranormal desa. Berkat Nawab (Zakir Husein) dan Moulana (Anang Desai) memperkenalkan Perr Jammatudin Shah Baba (Anupam Kher) pada keluarga Ramsharan.

Ketika Perr Jammatudin Shah Baba menggunakan doa-doanya, Muskaan hanya mengatakan ia melihat ayahnya. Dalam pengelihatannya itu, Muskaan menyatakan ayahnya ingin mengatakan tentang kematiannya. Perr Jammatudin menyakini bahwa roh Ramsharan tidak rela untuk meninggalkan keluarganya. Beberapa hari kemudian, Muskaan terlihat aneh, ia kerasukan roh yang membuatnya menuliskan huruf-huruf dalam bahasa yang tidak dapat terbaca. Bahkan Moulana tidak dapat memahami apakah huruf itu tulisan dalam bahasa Urdu kuno atau semacamnya. Kejadian ini membuat Perr Jammatudin semakin tertarik untuk memberantas roh yang merasuki Muskaan.

Apakah yang terjadi sebenarnya pada Muskaan? Apakah roh itu adalah ayahnya atau roh makhluk lain? Warning, memperingatkan Anda untuk berhati-hati ketika menonton film ini.
